Shelly Williams joined the Varney Team in 2019 with a bachelors in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. Shelly has 5+ years of management experience working for independent contractors, 2+ years of clerical experience, and a passion for serving people.
Shelly is a valued member of our Clerical Support team who’s primary responsibilities include answering phones, scanning, updating client information and mail preparation. Her solution minded approach and willingness to help with a variety of tasks makes her an invaluable addition to our firm.
Outside of the office Shelly enjoys art, music, reading, good food, family, meaningful conversation and outdoor activities. In her free time, she and her family love to go backpacking together and she is currently learning to play the guitar.
Shelly is also a Co-Founder of Manhattan Soup Kitchen, a local nonprofit who’s mission is to promote the sustainability of food and other natural resources to enrich the lives of people in our community. They offer pick up, transportation and delivery services of food, still good by USDA standards but no longer usable by the donating party, to local nonprofits who serve people in need. Shelly also serves as the Communications Lead of the Riley County Food & Farm Councils Waste Reduction Community Action Team and is a member or the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation’s Young Trustees.
