CVA Recertification

Theresa Westphal, an owner with Varney & Associates, CPAs, LLC has recently completed the recertification process with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) to renew her designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).  She received her original certification in 2008 and is required to recertify every three years.

Requirements to earn the designation include being a Certified Public Accountant, completing NACVA's five-day training program, and successfully completing the association's comprehensive examination.

Certified Valuation Analysts provide business valuation and litigation consulting services.  Business valuations are most commonly required in conjunction with the purchase or sale of a business, succession planning, buy/sell agreements, charitable contributions, and estate and gift tax purposes.  Theresa is qualified to provide these services through her training combiner with her background and experience in tax, financial analysis, and accounting for small businesses.
