Responsibilities

  • Leading employee benefit audit engagements
  • Maintaining contact with employee benefit audit clients outside of the audit engagement
  • Managing the firm’s employee benefit audit team, including scheduling and education
  • Performing audit engagements for other industries under the direction of manager or partner
  • Other opportunities include performing compilations, reviews and other attestation engagements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in employee benefit audits
  • Understanding of audit planning, fieldwork and financial statement preparation
  • Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and Firm standards
  • Builds client relationship and maintains smooth working relationships
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to multitask and complete assignments within budget and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate, as a team, with owners and other staff members
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, reliability and integrity
  • Be willing and available to travel to serve clients within the state of Kansas

Education:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or business, or equivalent experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to multitask and complete assignments within budget and deadlines
